Sharon Stone thinks we should all take a page out of Taylor Swift's book, and we think you'll be hard-pressed to disagree with her reasoning.
The iconic actress dedicated a portion of her acceptance speech at the 9th annual Astra Film Awards late last week, where she was presented with the Timeless Award—an honor that "celebrates her enduring impact on film and television while reflecting on a life and career defined by achievement, innovation, and influence"—to the "Fate of Ophelia" songstress, applauding her positive influence on the industry.
The Basic Instinct star spoke for nearly 10 minutes about the concept of being "timeless," calling Swift a perfect example.
Stone Sees Swift as a Role Model for Being a 'Decent Person'
"You know why you like Taylor Swift?" she asked, going on to declare, "Because she's decent."
"Be decent," Stone encouraged. "That is what it means to be timeless. Be a decent person, and when you’re on the road, don’t use those rules, ‘What goes on the road, stays on the road.’ Because you know what? It doesn’t. You carry it home in your consciousness. You carry it home to your family, and you carry it home to your friends. Carry home someone you’re proud of."

"Yes! This is why she’s a great person to show young people," one fan agreed vehemently. "She is respectful to everyone. Polite. Kind."
"Kindness is such a rarety [sic] now," they added.
"She SPILLED," another agreed, while a third applauded, "Legends supporting legends."
The Musician Is Often Recognized for Being 'Decent'
Swift, of course, is known for her kindness. She often goes viral for the way she treats her fans, her team, and even the folks who happen to be working in her general vicinity.
Just recently, an Eras Tour worker recalled how she pulled through for the stadium employees following a particularly "disgusting" concert, while an Arrowhead employee detailed her kind gesture for those working during the Kansas City Chiefs' Christmas Day game. She was also caught on camera passing out cash to employees on her way out of a Grammy’s after party earlier this year, and once tipped a ticket taker at the Buffalo Bills’ Highmark Stadium one hundred dollars.
It racked up countless views every time she paused her set during her record-breaking concert tour to call for help from the stage when fans were in trouble or commend venue staff for “taking such good care of everybody.”

Not to mention the generous bonuses she provided her crew with, or her "incredibly powerful" charitable donations, quietly contributing to food banks along her tour route, and even accidentally inspiring over one million dollars in donations to the Monteray Bay Aquarium.
As Stone also noted in her speech, "Fame without awareness, success without purpose is pointless...Do something with what you have. Use your talent and become a purpose. The only thing that matters in this life is what you do with what you’ve got.”
Clearly, Swift got the memo.
