In a now-viral video shared to HELLO!'s Instagram, Streep, 76, was filmed giving Blunt's impressive Schiaparelli gown an approving once-over that had Miranda Priestly written all over it.
The clip shows Blunt, 43, posing for photos and then turning around to face her costars, including Streep, whose jaw slightly dropped once she was able to fully take in the enormity of the dress.
Blunt was styled by Jessica Paster, who "killed people at dawn" in order to secure the Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown, joked the actress in a red carpet interview.
According to a press release, the bustier dress was designed with 25,000 silk thread feathers and lacing with gold metal eyelets at the back, as well as an ivory tulle skirt. It involved around 4,000 hours of embroidery work. A Mikimoto necklace and matching bracelets made up of hundreds of pearls and gold heels were paired with the piece.

Her glam included a high bun and dark burgundy lip that matched her manicure, done by Julie Kandalec.
Red was also a popular theme among the stars, with Hathaway in a Louis Vuitton strapless gown and Streep in a vermillion Givenchy cap gown teamed with black leather gloves, pointed-toe shoes and sunglasses.

Blunt reprises her role as Emily Charlton in The Devil Wears Prada sequel, which comes 20 years after the original's debut. In a September 2025 interview with PORTER, Blunt said the franchise has "deep emotional roots for a lot" of the cast, adding that stepping into the world of Runway wasn't just about "doing a movie."
In the same interview, she also talked about her gripe with costuming. “I don't love wearing heels, so getting back to The Devil Wears Prada has been a rude awakening for all of us,” she admitted.
